Bacary Sagna recently joined Grassroot Soccer as an ambassador.
Bacary had this to say: “In Africa soccer is like a religion. I see that Grassroot Soccer is using the power of the game to improve the lives of many young people across Africa. I am African and I play the beautiful game. So I am very excited to be part of the Grassroot Soccer team”.
Grassroot Soccer, an international non-profit, uses the power of the game to educate, inspire and empower young people to live healthy and productive lives.

Après match d'hier soir lors de Bacary Sagna a été remplacé à la 18e minute, après avoir reçu un coup à la tête lors d'une collision avec Wojciech Szczesny, Bacary a été transporté à l'hôpital par mesure de précaution.
Après un séjour à l'hôpital la nuit en observation, Bacary a été libéré et est en général bien et de bonne humeur.
Nouvelles des équipes avant d'égalité de dimanche de la FA Cup de quatrième ronde contre Huddersfield Town figureront sur Arsenal.com jeudi.
22nd Jan 2011 Sagna - Wembley date très spéciale pour moi
Bacary Sagna manqué le match aller de la Carling Cup Demi-finale - et il entend contribuer à faire amende honorable Arsenal contre Ipswich Town.
Le droit de retour France pourrait commencer le match retour contre la tenue du Championnat à l'Emirates Stadium, le mardi et il est déterminé à assurer un voyage à Wembley en Février.

Bacary Sagna and the rest of the Arsenal team completed their pre-season campaign by pulling off an audacious comeback to win 6-5 in a crazy game at Legia Warsaw on Saturday.
The match saw the official opening of the Polish side's new stadium and the home fans revelled in the party atmosphere early on as their team sailed into a 3-0 lead in the opening 36 minutes.

8th Aug 2010 Arsenal.com: Sagna - Consistency the key to title push
Bacary Sagna insists Arsenal can win the title this season - but only if they maintain their consistency throughout the campaign.
The French right back is still waiting for his first trophy since moving to Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2007 but he has come close a couple of times, playing his part in title pushes in 2008 and last season.
On both occasions Arsenal's challenge petered out in April but Sagna thinks Arsène Wenger's squad can get it right this term.
“Yes we can win it. I’m 100 per cent confident," declared the Frenchman.
"It will be down to us now. We have a good team and some new players. We have an amazing team and play good football. We just need to be more consistent and to be a bit more focused on the pitch.”
The usual suspects of Chelsea and Manchester United are expected to be there or thereabouts in the title race while Liverpool will be looking to bounce back from a poor 2009/10 campaign. There's a big buzz around Manchester City too after a summer of heavy investment but Sagna is not concerned by their spending power.
"They have bought a lot of good players and they will be hard to beat but we are still Arsenal, we play good football and just want to continue to play as we are now," he said.
